HOW DOES THE COURSE ACTUALLY WORK?
This program is now a self study. You will have access to all of the content when you purchase, after you sign up with your username and password for the course portal.
There are 6 lesson modules (plus a brand new bonus module!). Each one contains an introduction to the part of the Creed being taught followed by the art project tutorial videos to work through at your own pace with your child or students.
For the art tutorial videos, you can simply set out the supplies and press play and let the kids create right along with Marisa!
Each module will also include a workbook for you to download that includes preparation checklists for supplies and picture books, step-by-step instructions, weekly planning sheets, inspiring quotes, reflection sheets and more.
You also have the option of joining the WE BELIEVE Facebook group where you can share your progress, connect with other families and ask questions.
WHAT IF I HAVE CHILDREN WHO ARE YOUNGER OR OLDER THAN 4-8? CAN THEY CREATE THE ART TOO?
Based on my experience teaching art to children, these art projects in the course are best geared toward children ages 4-8. They can however, be adapted for children younger or older by having you help more or less with the prep.
WILL I HAVE TO BUY A LOT OF EXPENSIVE ART SUPPLIES?
I did my very best to strike a balance of simple and easy -to-find art supplies with supplies that spark student engagement. Crayons and coloring pages just don't do it for the kids all the time. The projects in this course are meant to be special, but I show you how to use simple supplies in a variety of ways to keep things exciting for the kids without leaving your home a disaster area.
The projects use sulphite (high quality construction paper), watercolor paper, paint sticks, watercolor, markers, oil pastels/crayons, scissors and glue. The beauty of this course is that you'll be able to ask me questions about how to make the lessons work with the supplies you have if you aren't able to get all of the ones recommended.
